Routine appointments can be booked through reception or via our online services. You can pre-book appointments with GP’s and Nurses up to 4 weeks in advance. GP’s can offer you either face-to-face appointments or telephone consultations.
Face-to-face appointments are allocated a 10 minute time slot. If you think you will need longer than this please book more than one appointment.
Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. Under normal conditions you can expect to see a nurse within one working day.
Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen or you have more than one problem you wish to discuss as this will need extra appointment time.
Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination or a private room to discuss any matters. Remember that the results of tests can only be given to the patient.
Please note we have trained chaperones on site who can accompany you during your consultation whether you need an examination or not. Our Chaperones are trained to provide confidential support for all patients who require assistance or support during a GP or Nurse consultation.
Urgent cases are seen on the day, contact the surgery on 01530 832095 if you require an urgent appointment.
Book an appointment online using the NHS app or SystmOnline if you have an account.
You can also contact a Doctor online using our online triage form, please click ‘Contact Us Online’ below.
Let us know if you need to change or cancel by contacting the surgery on 01530 832095. If you have online access you can also cancel online using the NHS app or SystmOnline if you have an account.
The practice has a ‘Did Not Attend’ policy. If a patient fails to attend a pre-booked appointment a warning will be sent via SMS or letter. If this happens THREE times in a twelve month period, the practice will discuss your attendance in view of possibly removing you from the practice list, which will result in you needing to re-register at a new practice.

We understand circumstances change and things come up, we ask you to appreciate the amount of time and appointments that are wasted that could have been offered to another patient that is needing it.
We are hoping with SMS reminders and letters the number of DNAs will reduce.
We are increasing the number of appointments available for you to see a GP in the early mornings, evenings or at weekends across North West Leicestershire.
Depending on your individual circumstances and symptoms, we may offer you an ‘enhanced access’ appointment.
Please note: however, that these appointments will not be at your usual GP practice and may not be with one of your usual GP’s or nurses.
Depending on the reason for your appointment, it may be suitable for you to see an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, instead of a GP. The clinician you see will be able to access relevant sections of your medical notes and will communicate what has happened during your appointment back to your usual GP practice.
We are now offering enhanced access appointments to you and these are available: –
These appointments are delivered and rotated between two hub locations:-
This is a bookable appointment service and appointments are available to book and cancel online using the NHS app or SystmOnline if you have an account.
If you would like to know more please speak to a member of practice staff.
Home visits are at the discretion of your doctor.
Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.
Please do not ask your doctor to call unless the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery. A rash or temperature does not prevent patients coming to the surgery and will not endanger others. Simply tell the receptionist on arrival.
Where the condition of the patient does require a home visit, please try to let us know before 10.30 am each day.
